This brings new meaning to the term "flip book" or skimming a book. The potential for both good and bad (for those who'd be devious about it) in another 21st Century gadget:

I know who Johnny 5 is, and I don't know why that needs a remake.... :P
I balked at a remake, too.
But then I read WHY they're remaking it... and I begrudgingly sighed and said, "ok."
The original writers (S.S. Wilson & Brent Maddock) wanted to go back to their own script given all the advancements in technolgy since the original and update the story accordingly. As much as I'd like to, I can't argue with that.
