No Bread for this Rye

A while back I posted a rant about a sequel to J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye.
It's been kiboshed in the United States by US District Judge Deborah Batts. Thank goodness.

Apparently they tried to "make it okay" by calling it a parody, but allegedly not until after the lawsuit came up, as a ploy. They will be appealing for a reversal in hopes to publish it here in the Fall.

I pretty much say everything I have to say in the first post.

But here's one last bit:

The only information worth knowing about the rest of Holden's life is whether or not he found out where the ducks go in the Winter. :)
